Maqsood Ahmed, OBE
Maqsood Ahmed is Senior Advisor on Faith Communities for the Department of Communities and Local Government. He was appointed as an advisor to the Government in 2003 and advises on faith and preventing extremism issues.
Maqsood was awarded an OBE for his groundbreaking work as the first Muslim advisor for HM Prison Service.
Dr Yvonne Burne OBE
Yvonne’s career has been as a teacher, Headmistress, publisher and writer. She was Head of the City of London School for Girls (1995 – 2007) and Head of St. Helen’s, Northwood (1987-2005). She is a passionate Educationalist and set up and co- ordinated a number of Independent and State School Partnerships. She advises schools on change management and leadership; appraises Heads and Senior Managers and is a public
speaker.
Yvonne is immediate Past Master of the Company of Educators, a JP in the City of London and a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Innholders and a Governor of Berkhamsted School, Brighton University and on the Court of City University. She was recently made a Fellow of the College of Teachers. Yvonne is also a member of the Education Panel for the Wolfson Foundation and a Trustee of the Charity, Tomorrow’s Achievers.
She was awarded an OBE in 2008 for her services to education in London.
Peter Rosengard, 9/11 London Project Founder and Chairman
Peter Rosengard is one of Britain’s leading Life Insurance salesmen. In 1990 he earned a place in the Guinness Book of Records for selling the largest ever Life Insurance policy.
Peter has been involved in a number of hobbies throughout his career: In 1979 he founded The Comedy Store in London, thus helping launch the careers of Alexei Sayle, Ben Elton, French and Saunders and many others.
He enjoys reading, writing, drawing people in restaurants, painting, and riding around London on his red Vespa scooter.
Stanley Fink (Patron and Founding Supporter)
Lord Fink is CEO of International Standard Asset Management (ISAM) and is Treasurer of the Conservative Party.
He studied at Trinity Hall College, Cambridge, qualifying with an MA in Law in 1979, then qualifying as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen. He joined Man Group in 1987 and held a number of key positions leading to Group Chief Executive in March 2000 and was appointed Deputy Chairman in March 2007.
He is a committed philanthropist whose focus is health and education and his roles include being a Trustee of ARK, the Mayor of London’s Charity and Chairman of the Trustees of the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies. He is also chair of the board of governors of Burlington Danes Academy School.
